I have 5,7 Hemi 2006, 30 miles way to work daily and i have average consumption 8-9ltrs/100km (about 31 - 35mpg) Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006, 5,7 HEMI, US Limited 4xGuard F&R skid plates, OME HD coils, CB Albrecht AE 6690, Hella FF200, Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 245/75R17, 30mm spacers, Bilstein 5100 F&R, DynoMax 3" muffler w/ Magnaflow 3" - no
The biggest drawback on the Jeep Hemi's is the crappy exhaust log manifolds, along with a heavy, restrictive cat. back. See pix below of the collectors off a 5.7 Jeep logs (left), a 5.7 Dodge/Chrysler logs (center) and my first set of custom headers on the right. Also, when you remove the MDS, you'll get DTC's and MIL's indicating it is notChecked cylinder 2 compression, cause it was easy to get to, just to check my gauge and I'm getting 160 on cylinder 2. Lining up a shop to look at it. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi qd2. 96,000 miles. No issues, besides the qd2 recall flash problem, since I bought it with 38,000 miles. Never overheated. Oil change every 5-6k with mobile 1 5w20. Just bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 Hemi 64000 miles. They day I drove it home really bad vibration through out the entire jeep from front to back steering wheel shook as well. The vibration is more of like driving over rumble strips. But it only happens between 60-65mph. One or two MPH over/under smooth as silk. T4Gi.
