Answered by Honest John. It's a BMW engine, not a Toyota engine. Yes, you picked the wrong car for long distance work. Toyota hybrids are brilliant for town and suburbs and fantastic for taxis; not so great over a 300 mile motorway run, but you should still get 60mpg plus.
